Short description: The aim of the course is to introduce students with the links of cause - and effect of problems related to consumer and professional burdening the environment and adverse global and local ecological phenomena. During the course we discuss the basic problems of environmental protection, the source of the pollution and emission reduction methods and neutralization of hazardous substances as well as regulations on environmental protection in Poland and in the world and the structure of the systems of environmental protection in Poland.
Full description: European and Polish legislation on environmental protection. Current sozological problems. The importance of the veterinarian in the field of environmental protection. Ecotoxicological risks associated with industrial production, agriculture and animal breeding. Pollution of air, water and soil - monitoring, methods to reduce pollution. Treatment of industrial and municipal waste. Methods used to reduce industrial gases and dusts. The problems associated with overpopulation of the Earth.
